We started using a screen for songwords in 1997. We projected nice pictures on the screen when we weren't singing. Then we wondered what would happen if the pictures matched what we were doing in worship. That's one version of why worship at Skyline can be a visual feast for the eyes.

Each week in worship at Skyline, we use a visual metaphor to help unpack the concept we're exploring in scripture that week. The band leaders, drama and dance teams, plan music and other elements of worship to compliment the weekly theme as well, so that every element of the worship service reinforces a common purpose - illuminating God's Word so that we can live the promise of the Good News in our lives. |

The nine screens to the right gather the nine worship series themes for the entire year, from September, 2007 through August, 2008, during which we focused on nine spiritual disciplines that define followers of Jesus. These graphics can be a helpful way to organize and remember, as well as trigger other associations the Holy Spirit might be nudging us toward.
