Skyline has an active ministry of missions at the local, national and international level. There are many ways to participate: financial donations, item donations, hands-on service, and mission trips.
A Door of Hope

In February 2017, Skyline held it’s first “baby bottle” fundraiser for a Door of Hope. This local organization offers compassionate care and practical resources for women who face pregnancy decisions.
Family Promise of Northern New Castle County

We host families experiencing homelessness for a week at a time, three times a year. Volunteers are needed during those weeks to drive the van, provide food, spend the night, and set-up / tear down. We also support FP’s Day Center through a Christmas in July donation event.

We serve dinners on a monthly basis at Andrews Place and Epiphany House. We have a continuous collection of clothes for The Clothing Bank of Delaware.
Kind to Kids

In January 2017, Skyline held it’s first Blue Duffle Bag item drive. We filled duffle bags with blankets, stuffed animals, books, etc. to be given to children in the foster care system.
Limestone Food Closet

Meals on Wheels

Newark Empowerment Center

The NEC provides hospitality and services to people experiencing homelessness and in poverty. NEC is continually supported by our “Manna Fund” donations. SUMC has also provided Go-Bags to the NEC.
Operation Christmas Child, Samaritan’s Purse

Samaritan’s Purse provides spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. During the holidays we fill shoeboxes with gifts for children in need.

Stop Hunger Now

Stop Hunger Now is driven by the vision of a world without hunger. Skyline hosted our first meal packaging event in 2015 and we raise money to support the cause.
United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR)

UMCOR is dedicated to alleviating human suffering around the globe. SUMC raises funds and awareness for UMCOR projects.

UP equips children and young adults through Christ with the skills necessary for academic achievement, personal growth and servant leadership. Skyline assists UP through meals, as well as item drives for summer camp and school supplies.
