Our Co-Pastors: Vicki & Bo
Gordy-Stith
Vicki
and Bo arrived at Skyline July 1997 with a 3 year old daughter, Joy,
and a 6 week old preemie son, Eli. They celebrated communion in the
Grove their first Sunday and fell in love with the community of
believers gathered here.
Pastoring is a second career for the Gordy-Stiths, who met each
other at the Naval Academy, married after graduating in 1986 and
served as naval officers for the next five years in San Diego,
Japan, and Rhode Island.
They resigned their commissions to
attend seminary at Duke Divinity School, graduating in 1994. They
served separate churches in Maryland for three years before coming to Skyline as
co-pastors.
Vicki is a third-generation Methodist pastor from Wilmington,
Delaware and Salisbury, Maryland. She grew up loving God and active
in Silverbrook and Trinity churches,
where her father served as pastor. Bo grew up
in Knightdale, North Carolina, where family life
revolved around Green Pines Baptist Church services three times a week.

Vicki and Bo love to sing. They experienced Gods call to ordained ministry while
leading the Junior High Youth Group and singing praise concerts together at St. Paul’s UMC in San Diego. You
can listen to some of
their music here.
Our co-pastors share a passion
for telling the old story in a new way—using drama, music and
graphics. They love telling stories about how Jesus Christ surprises
us with grace not in places we expect God to be, but in the midst of
our ordinary lives. Skyline is the church community they say they
have been searching for all their lives.
