Small Groups are the stomach of the body of Christ.
Sound silly? Maybe
so, but if you think of the stomach being the part of the body that
nourishes the rest you can see how small groups would feed the soul. We
Methodists are a bunch of good eaters. We like to have food at every
occasion. It gives us something to contribute, is a topic of
conversation and gives a focal point to share. Small groups are like
that too.
We are able to
contribute to Skyline through small groups by sharing our talents or
knowledge. They give us something to talk about on Sunday mornings and
give us a common bond to draw us closer to each other. What is a small
group? Just what it says, no magic, just two or more who gather in
Christ name to share Scripture, prayers, joys, concerns, knowledge,
common feelings and fellowship. That’s it! We, at Skyline, encourage
everyone to join or start a small group that caters to their interest.
Like to read? Join the book club. Want to fellowship with other men?
Come to the Saturday morning men’s group. Got a passion to study a
particular book of the Bible? I will get you the material to start a
Bible study. Want to form an exercise class? Please do! Contact
us at
anytime to see what small group would be best for you.
Oh yes, like to eat?
Come to almost anything we Methodists offer and we will feed you as well
as your soul.
