Year-Round Missions
Andrews Place Men's Dinners:
Andrew’s Place, a Friendship House ministry, is a homeless
shelter in Wilmington
for men 50+ in age. We make, deliver, and serve dinner to 20-25 men once a
month.Delaware
Ecumenical Council:
Volunteer to assist the elderly run errands, drive them to doctor appointments,
etc.
Food Closet: Collect non-perishables and deliver to the Food Closet at
Limestone Presbyterian Church on Rt. 7. Bring food the 1st Sunday of
the month, and/or Small Groups support.
Friendship House Item Drives:
Collect items for Friendship House programs (i.e., paper towels, toilet paper),
and deliver to them at their Orange Street location in Wilmington.
Meals on Wheels: Once every 7 weeks we deliver pre-made meals to the elderly
at lunchtime.
Prison Ministry: There is a pamphlet in the foyer that lists many prison
ministry opportunities in the New Castle area.
Special Sundays: Skyline supports the UM Church’s six Special Sundays by
educating the congregation and providing donations from our budget. The Special
Sundays include:

Urban Promise:
This organization in Wilmington sponsors summer camps, after-school programs,
and mentoring for at risk youth in 1st-12th grade. We
have people who mentor youth and tutor through this organization.
